Property/Auctions & Tenders/Guide to Tenders

What is an Informal Tender?

The tender procedure enables a property or land, to be promoted to its best advantage through the local press and the internet within an agreed timescale with emphasis on a guide price similar to Auctions as a means to stimulate initial interest.

The deadline provides a fixed amount of advertising time for prospective purchasers to be able to arrange to inspect the property or land at their convenience, secure finance (if required), and commission any additional enquiries; i.e. survey, if required prior to the deadline. Offers can be made prior to the cut off date.

All best & final offers are to be submitted in writing on a tender form provided by the agent, by the set date, and any additional information must also be provided (i.e. if the offer is: subject to the sale of another property, mortgage/finance, survey, etc).

The vendor will consider all tender offers received by considering all factors, including price & ability to proceed; the seller will then decide whether to accept any of the tenders received or revert to a private treaty sale.

You may opt for informal or formal tender procedures and the Valuer will be pleased to answer any queries you have on inspection, in helping you make the right decision.
