For walkers, the Sandstone trail passes close by and the village is at the confluence of many miles of footpaths. For history lovers, Beeston Castle can be seen from the village and is less than a 10-minute drive. Oulton Park motor racing circuit is located a few minutes’ drive from the village and hosts a variety of race days including British Touring Car Championships and international Superbike events.

Tarporley enjoys enviable road links offering easy access to Manchester, Chester and Warrington amongst other key areas of commerce and interest. The nearest train station to Tarporley is at Delamere on the Chester to Manchester Line. Access to National rail services is provided by either Chester or Crewe stations with the service Crewe to London Euston taking just over 90 minutes.

Two International airports are located within a 45-minute drive – Liverpool John Lennon International Airport and Manchester International Airport. The village benefits from regular bus service to surrounding towns and the City of Chester.
