Our Spring Boutique sale is finally upon us, taking place on Saturday 23rd March at 10am, and with viewing events on Thursday and Friday 21st-22nd March from 10am until 4pm at our Knutsford saleroom. With the catalogue now online and accessible via the-saleroom.com and easyliveauctions, our team in the Fine Art Department have shared their stand-out pieces:

Liz Bailey, Jewellery Specialist:

Lot 15: An early 20th Century Murrle Bennett & Co. 15ct gold emerald and split pearl brooch £200-250

“I absolutely love the free-flowing designs seen in Murrle Bennett & Co. jewellery, a wholesale importer of British and Foreign jewellery operating in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This piece incorporates that beautiful sinuous Art Nouveau feel, and showcases one of my favourite gemstones, emerald, at the same time! This beautiful brooch was consigned at one of our weekly Friday valuation events and certainly brightened up my morning when the vendor bought it in!”

Lot 320: A Baume & Mercier ladies wristwatch £1,200-1,800

“This lovely equestrian themed 18ct gold watch is the perfect mix between form and function, and would look fantastic for every day and evening wear! Baume & Mercier were formed in 1830 and are renowned for their elegant, stylish and beautiful timepieces. This classic design is bound to appeal to our bidders across Cheshire and beyond, and would make a wonderful gift to the horsewoman in your life!”

Lot 380: A Hermès ‘Brise de Charme’ silk scarf £80-120

“To own a Hermès scarf has to be a point on every fashionistas bucketlist! This amazing vibrant design depicts fans with oriental, natural, floral and traditional hunting scenes. The colours in this design are exquisite, and the sillk scarf is beautifully displayed and preserved in a gilt frame that would look fabulous hanging up in my apartment!”

Lisa La Masurier, Administrator, Knutsford

Lot 230 – A suite of Tiffany & Co. ‘Square Cushion’ jewellery £40-60

“A stylish suite of silver jewellery by Tiffany & Co. that complements some of the jewellery I already have in my collection. I love the clean, modern and sleek lines of this design which would make it perfect for everyday wear.”

Lot 307 – A limited edition Theo Fennell for Franck Muller Sky wristwatch £2,000-3,000

“This bold, unique and stylish watch is the result of a collaboration between two of the biggest names in jewellery and watchmaking. The beautiful pale blue tones of the face and strap make it perfect for spring!”

Lot 258 – An Art Nouveau style paste and silver pendant £30-40

“This pendant has a beautiful design, and would look so elegant worn with a v-neck dress or top.”

Amelia Tomkinson, Auctioneer and Valuer, Beeston

Lot 250: A mid Victorian amethyst and diamond suite of jewellery £600-800

“I was drawn to this piece the moment I saw it. I love the rich colours of the amethyst, the design of the cross, and the wonderful fitted case that displays the jewellery so beautifully.”

Lot 103: An early 20th century diamond brooch £500-700

“This fantastic diamond eagle brooch contains approximately 1.50cts and was consigned at one of our weekly valuation days at our Beeston site. I can’t wait to see it fly at auction!”

Lot 407: A Chloé handbag £200-250

“I love the design of this stylish and easy to wear Chloé bag. I love the relaxed suede and leather design, and think this lovely burnt orange colour would inject some vibrancy into any outfit!”

Robert Fletcher, Jewellery Photographer, Beeston

Lot 7: An 18ct gold Gavello cross pendant £250-300

“This bright pendant will be noticed against anything that is worn alongside. Such a bold item with a wonderful diamond thorn accent mount.”

Lot 53: An enamel and diamond artillery brooch £250-350

“Ubique Quofas Et Gloria Duncunt” The motto of the Royal Regiment of the Canadian Artillery (Translation – Everywhere Wither right and Glory Lead). This is a lovely crafted brooch with the bright red accent in the crown to really draw your eye.

Lot 338: An early 20th Century 9ct gold Rolex wristwatch £300-500
