Auction Success!

Share

Last night Wright Marshall estate agents in Tarporley hosted an excellent auction at The Swan Hotel in Tarporley. There were three lots offered, two of which sold. Both were very different reflecting the diverse nature of a typical auction.

4 Goodwood Close in Barnton was a spacious family home which due to previous structural difficulties sold at a competitive level and offers an excellent rental income potential for the new owner once the improvement works are complete.

The second property we sold was an absolute gem, that being Clemley Cottage, Burgess Road, Norley. This set a record for 2016 in terms of viewings with over 50 parties expressing interest and multiple bids being received on the night. The property comprised a small historic cottage in a very basic condition in a garden plot of half an acre. There were a further 3.5 additional acres of paddocks to the side and the rear with the whole being offered at a guide price of £300,000 – £400,000. At the end of lively bidding the auctioneer Mr Nigel Eckersley put the hammer down at £415,000 – both the vendor and the buyer were delighted.
